RREV OS Software License

RREV OS is licensed, not sold. If you own an RREV, your RREV Master Vehicle Build & Purchase Agreement (sections 9 and 10) governs RREV OS, its updates and remote access. This page explains that licence in plain terms. Where this page and your Master Agreement differ, your Master Agreement applies.
1. Ownership and copyright
RREV OS, including the software on the rig, the RREV OS app, the RREV Native cockpit, their code, interfaces, screens, icons, sounds and documentation, is © 2026 Roam Resilient Expedition Vehicles Inc. (“RREV”) and its licensors. All rights reserved. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Buying a rig or a pack gives you a licence to use the software, not ownership of it.
2. Your licence
RREV grants the owner of an RREV rig a limited, non-exclusive licence to use RREV OS in executable form, on that rig, and the RREV OS app on devices the owner controls, for the personal use and operation of that rig. Packs you add unlock features under the same licence. The licence for the software and for packs bought for a rig stays with the rig when it is sold; subscriptions belong to the owner and end at the sale, as set out in your Master Agreement.
3. What the licence does not allow
Except where the law expressly allows it despite this limit, you may not:
- copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of RREV OS;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, or try to extract its source code;
- get around, disable or interfere with its security, licensing or safety features, or access a rig or account you are not authorised to use;
- rent, lend, sell, sublicense or distribute it separately from the rig;
- remove or alter copyright, trademark or other notices.
Unapproved software changes can void warranty coverage for damage they cause.
4. Updates
RREV may deliver updates over the air. Safety and security updates may install automatically; other updates ask first, and updates install only while the rig is parked. Updates are part of RREV OS and are covered by this licence. Details are in your Master Agreement and on RREV OS & Packs.
5. Open-source software
RREV OS includes open-source components, each licensed under its own terms. Nothing on this page limits your rights under those licences. To receive the open-source notices and licence texts, email rr@roamresilient.com.
6. Trademarks
RREV® is a registered trademark of Roam Resilient Expedition Vehicles Inc. RREV OS, Spotty, the RREV OS mark and RREV model names and logos are trademarks of RREV. This licence does not give you any right to use them.
7. Your data
How RREV OS handles connected-rig data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. When the licence ends
The licence ends for a rig you no longer own, and it may end if you break these terms or your Master Agreement. Sections 1, 3 and 6 continue after it ends.
9. Other terms
Warranties, limits of liability and dispute resolution for your rig and its software are in your Master Agreement. Use of this website is covered by our Terms of Service. RREV may update this page from time to time; the date above shows the latest version.
