How RREV OS works
Does an RREV need internet to work?
No. RREV OS controls the rig locally, fully offline. Internet (Wi-Fi, a phone hotspot, satellite or cellular) is only needed for over-the-air updates and for remote access when you’re away from the rig. You provide the connection unless your Build Sheet includes one.
How do software updates work?
RREV OS and integrated-component firmware update over the air. Security and safety updates may install automatically; others ask for your approval first. Updates only install while the rig is parked.
What is Remote Access + Spotty?
Remote control of your rig from the RREV OS app when you’re away from it, plus Spotty’s owner extras in the RREV portal. It’s included for the first year after delivery, then $199 a year at RREV’s published rate, reviewed each January. You renew in your Garage; nothing auto-renews.
What happens if I don’t renew Remote Access + Spotty?
Local control keeps working, safety and security updates keep coming, and Spotty still helps with safety questions, manuals and tickets. Only remote access and Spotty’s owner extras pause.
Who can control my rig remotely?
Only people you give access to. You can remove anyone’s remote access in the app at any time. If someone who has harmed or threatened you has access, email rr@roamresilient.com with the subject “Remote access removal” and RREV acts within two business days.
What does Spotty Voice cost?
Two ways. Lifetime: $1,200 once; it belongs to the rig and stays with it if the rig is sold. Monthly: $39 a month after a 14-day free trial, cancel any time; it belongs to you and ends if the rig is sold, and you can switch to Lifetime any time. Monthly passes the Lifetime price after about 31 months. Spotty’s smarter connected answers come with Remote Access + Spotty; there’s no separate AI fee.
What happens to upgrades and subscriptions if I sell my rig?
Upgrades belong to the rig: never moved to another rig or refunded on sale; they stay with the rig for the next owner. Subscriptions belong to the owner and end at sale.
Can I add packs after delivery?
Packs are listed in the configurator for new builds. For a delivered rig, ask Spotty or the RREV team which packs your rig supports.
